Biography
Greg Sturniolo, Born 1963 in New Rochelle New York
Favorite Mediums: Oil, Pencil, Pen and Ink, Charcoal, Watercolor and Acrylics.
Sturniolo and his family moved to the State of Maine in 1970 where he began his journey as an artist creating sketches and paintings while
discovering the breathtaking landscape, farms and ocean near his home in Brunswick.
Since the age of seven he recognized his gift of art which he effortlessly created on paper and canvas with a natural approach. Gradually his
creativity became a quest for the young artist to paint what he saw and fearlessly express himself in the process of art. As time went on,
music also played a large part of Greg's life. He learned to play piano and the guitar which brought him much joy. His parents were both
professional people whose love of art, music and culture gave Greg the support, freedom and essential foundation necessary for nurturing his
creative process on many levels.
Greg studied the great masters of the past while growing up and throughout his school years while keeping his unique perspective of self-
expression. The art he created then and now stems from many years of honing his work to a level that has been recently widely recognized
as some of the best work to emerge from a living artist today.
Much of Greg Sturniolo's achievements in the art world began in the State of Maine in the 1980's. His early works quickly caught the
attention of the media, corporations, collectors and auctioneers.
Today, Sturniolo's notoriety stems not only from his incredible works of art but also from his contributions to public spaces, fund-raising for
medical research as well as donations to various charitable foundations. Through the simple gift of sharing what he loves, Greg Sturniolo has
found a place in people’s hearts, not only for his unique inherited gift of art but also through his generosity.
Greg Sturniolo is currently focusing on new works involving historical sites, wine vineyards, the landscape, sports and animals.
